FTM privacy ?

I use FTM v11 and am going to share my file with someone (as a GEDCOM)
and I'm wondering exactly how the Privitize File works. Specifically,
does it assume that if there is no death date that the person's living?
Does it calculate from the birth date? I obviously have plenty of people
without death dates and I want their info to be seen. I'd love some insight.

basically try it and sse waht it looks like

it is a temporary operation on the main file

there is an unprivatize option after you have exported the gedcom or FTW
file
