FTM05 Genealogy Report
I took a quick look here and didn't see this question answered. If it has
been, please excuse me.
I have a family group, two parents and five children. The canned genealogy
report only shows three children and then stops, not listing the last two
children...?
I looked online at the tech support and found a fix for when a genealogy
report that doesn't show the selected number of generations. It involved
changing the limit on system memory in the ftw.ini file. This was not
really my problem, but I made the change anyway. No luck.
Any suggestions?

Hi Lesley.
Bad choice of words...the report format on the family view page that is the
"Genealogy Report" is what I'm questioning. I have the contents set to 99
generations. No matter what choices I make under "Contents", "Options", the
result is the same. The last two children are not included in the report.
I've even detached the last child from the family view and then re-attached
him, to no avail!
I'm stumped!

What happens if you select the other partner as the primary parent (ie ask
it show the children of the wife instead of the husband).

You're not the only one - my version is showing as many as 12 kids with a
family....

I was just taking a look at that report and its output. Perhaps the problem is
with child #3 and the last field that is printed (or would have been printed)

Re: FTM05 Genealogy Report
OK. I can't find a checkbox that would exclude someone from a report. I
chose the wife and ran the same report and it showed the same. It left off
the last two boys. One is married with no children and the other is
unmarried. If I add "test person" to child four, he shows up in the
genealogy report. If I add "test person2" to the fifth child as their
child, the fifth child shows up as well as the fourth. If I delete the test
children, the parent disappears from his immediate family's genealogy
report...

Re: FTM05 Genealogy Report
Check this. I has happened to me during merging two GEDs and I had two
sets of parents attached to a child.
Have the Family view up.
Select one of the problem children.
Go to the People menu and select Other parents. Make sure that you have
only one set of parents attached to the child. And that they are listed
as natural.
Give it a look.

Re: FTM05 Genealogy Report
Good one! But it didn't work. The relationship with parents is the only
one and they are natural.
I moved to their grand father and ran a genealogy report. The kids show up
correctly under their father, but under generation 3 they disappear
again....?
Still stumped! Is telephone tech support any better than most?
Thanks!

Try running your FTM file through the file repair ideas from FTM site.
Here's the link :

A "h--l" of a link but I have it bookmarked and it has saved me several
times.
