I am looking for the birth record for:
Carsten Pedersen born 29 Sept. 1796 in Skien. (later the name Werner was also added to his name in other records. The word Hværne is also listed as a place in Skien - I don't know if this is a farm name or a near by village. This reference to his birth place was in his marriage record when he married Live Kirstine Olsdr on the 21 April 1824 in Botne Vestfold Norway.
His father was listed as Peder Verner mother maybe Dorthe Karstensdr
Any information on Carsten Pedersen and/or his father Peder Verner would be greatly appreciated. I am hoping to make a trip to this area next Spring and would like to visit all the places associated with my ancestors.
I am a bit confused if I am posting this right, so hope this is coming through.
