Baptism before the marriage of parents?

I have George Wright baptised in Saint John's church, 22nd May 1836,
parents Edward & Ann Wright. Father's occupation Spinner.

I have a marriage of Edward Wright + Ann Dobson in the same church,
unfortunately with no occupation for the spouses and with the unfortunate
date of 24th September of date year.

Before I take a trip to Preston record office to look at the 1841 census,
I am wondering if the above two events could possibly be related.
