open format for geneaological data?
Hi all,
This is probably a FAQ, but anyway...
Is there an open file format for geneaological data yet?
I am imagining something XML based, since that is easiest
for programs to deal with.
Thanks.

Strange, since with all the mergers, the server is
news.west.earthlink.net (or .east.) -- they took down the old servers
from netcom/mindspring days, so why would the reposting be performed as
a mindspring admin account and not an earthlink admin.
I could almost visualize some cracker sending random cancels (I
have seen one or two other "repost:" subjects elsewhere) which are being
caught after the fact...
Ah well, my apologies for my initial "tone-of-voice" (I really
need to do the news scan earlier in the evening)
