Ole Williamsen Ekker/Ecker

My grandmother, Astrid Ekker (Ecker in the USA) was born at Skage in Overhalla and immigrated to Minnesota. I found records for her uncle, Ole Williamsen Ekker/Ecker, and his family in the USA, where his name is often misspelled, sometimes as Eaker or Eckhart. After I tracked down his descendants, I found notes my mother had made more than forty years ago after meeting one of his granddaughters at a family reunion. The note confirmed that I had found the right Ole Ecker. (My mother’s uncle Vidar Ekker/Widar Ecker must have settled in the Cloquet/Duluth area of Minnesota because his uncle Ole was already established there.)

My question concerns Ole’s wife, whose name appears as Carrie or Karen Opdahl in the records. Her birthdate is given as Sept. 1860 and her birthplace as Norway. I haven’t found any marriage documents, and she and Ole may have married in Norway. Does anyone know where she might have come from?

Maybe Ole W. Ekker number 2 in 1882 here. He was unmarried.

Thank you, I think that must be the right Ole Ekker. His brother Ingvar lived with him in Minnesota in 1900 but I haven't been able to trace him. I'll keep trying.

I think this is Ingvar/Ingwald's grave. I have found two census records that I believe to be his. They misspell his name as Ingra and Dugvar. He seems never to have married or had any children.
