I am looking for a Bethe/Berta Johnsdatter, the mother of Lars Martin Gudmundsen. The only information I have found is Lars Martin's baptism record in the Korskirke in Bergen (born Dec. 11, 1852, baptized Jan. 16, 1853) the illegitimate son of Berta Johnsdatter and Gundmund Larsen.

I have not been able to find Lars Martin with his mother or father in the 1865 census.

Any help is always very much appreciated.

As you can see in baptism record, "Lars Martin,s" parents was not married.

In census 1865 "Hosanger" there is an "Martines Gudmundsen" age 13 born in Bergen "Gudmund Larsen,s" illegitimate son. And as you can see above his father is now married with "Marthe Olsdtr." with many children : http://digitalarkivet.arkivverket.no/ft ... 8243001059

This seems to be Lars Martin in the 1900-census

indicating he was working at a mill in Bjørsvik, but his permanent address Bernes.
