FTM Individual Scrapbook Error

Legg inn av Brian J » 12. februar 2005 kl. 17.42

FTM 2005 on Win 2k pro (ALL fixes applied)

I have (Somehow!) managed to engineer two blank picture objects in an
Individual Scrapbook.
In 'Family View' FTM reports 'Scrapbook(2)'
Click the button ti 'Individual Scrapbook' and there is one picture image
and two blank images.
Niether of the two blank images can be cut.
If I select either and attempt to insert an object ...
.... the object is inserted in a new picture ...
.... leaving two blank picture objects!
If I select the displayed picture, right click, then select 'Play
Scrapbook...'
.... Msgbox 'The information in the specified file is damaged and can not be
used. Revert to backup ...'
... FTM then hangs in a wait state (no CPU usage according to Task manager)
with a blank window.

The backup of the database contains the same error.

If all else fails I will try export to Gedcom and a manual edit before
reimport.

Has anyone else seen this problem?
Any assistance to fix this will be appreciated.

Regards

Brian

Have you tried the general fixit for FTM? (Ctl-Alt-Shift-Left arrow).
This seems to fix most problems, at least it used to on the old
version 8 that I have.

To remove Picture/Objects from a Scrapbook:

1. Select the Picture/Object that you want to remove.
2. From the Edit menu, select Cut (ALT, E, C) to cut the Picture/Object to
the Clipboard.

Family Tree Maker displays a confirmation dialog box. If you really want to
delete the Picture/Object, click OK. Otherwise, click Cancel.
Family Tree Maker removes the Picture/Object from the Scrapbook, as well as
any information associated with it. The Picture/Objects remaining in the
Scrapbook move to the left to fill up the empty space.

Family Tree Maker version 11

have you tried that?

Charlie,

.... that removed the problem ... and the records in which the problem
existed !

That option should be on the tools menu !

Thanks for your assistance
