Hello,
My ancesters on my mother's side came to the United States from Norway
somewhere near the Bergen region in the late 1800's. Their last names
were Samuelsen and Jacobsen. Recently I was given some family prints
that I believe came from Norway, but I am not sure. I am unable to read
the words on the prints and I was curious if anyone would be willing to
look at a picture of one of them and tell me what it says (and even if
it is written in Norwegian). It could be another Scandanavian language,
but I'm not sure.
I apologize for the off-topic thread.
Thank you in advance for any information you can provide.
Sincerely,
Rob

Rob, if you want to email me the pictures, I can put them on a webpage
for you to point people to.
I think it's fine here, but soc.genealogy.nordic would be another place
to try. See you there, perhaps?
