Hi ~

I am trying to find the parents of Søren Augustinusen Dahl, f. ca. 1760. He is listed in the Elverum bygdebok, vol 1, pages 191 and 201, but no information is given as to his place of birth.

I also would be interested in any information on the importance of the Dahl family name. I searched the 1801 census and found 525 people with this name, including three with the name of Augustinus Dahl in Hedmark fylke.
