I'm Scott Olson of Thompson, North Dakota, USA.
Several relatives have been trying for years to find out any information on
my great-grandmother from before she left Norway. As far as we know, she
sailed alone.

Her name was Mary Larson Mohn. She was born June 19, 1859 and died
July 09, 1946, in Crookston, Minnesota. She came to the US in 1885. Her
parents, we're told, were Christopher Larson and Johanna Jensdatter. She
had only two brothers we know of, Christ, who also came to America, and
Lars, who spent his life in Norway.
We were always told she was born and lived in the Oslo area, which parish
or community we haven't been able to determine. Before leaving Norway,
she lived with or worked for a Dr. Woxen who was apparently a prominent
citizen, and was very close to his family. Why she left Norway we don't
know. Any information at all you might have on her would be greatly
appreciated. Thank you very much.
