I am looking for information on Johannes Johnson, b ~1831 in Verdal. I found a birth record for a Johannes Joense b. 9 Dec 1830; bpt. 19 Dec 1830 in Verdal . Parents are Joen Joensen Walstad and Elen Henricksdtr.
The whole family ends up in Stjordal in the 1865 census.
I found a marriage in Jun 1828 in Verdal for a Joen Joensen Sorager and an Elen Monriksd. Serager. I have never heard of the name Monrik and wondering if it might be Henrick.
Any direction or knowledge someone can provide on these farms or names would be greatly appreciated.

I read Elen Henriksd
If you look at the bottom of the page , you can see the letter M (in Mariane).
It is not looking like the first letter in Elens surname.

Thank you for the links!! I didn't realize there was an index for the baptisms, easier than looking through the parish records!
In the Merknad (comments?) section of the baptism it says, " Ridende Jæg " . Could you tell me what that means?

So I did have the right marriage but now to find out about Sorager and Serager farms (also Walstad in the baptism). They definitely are written different but could they be the same?

I beleave "ridende jæg(er) means riding hunter. Maybe a military title???

V(W)alstad is farms in Stjørdal.
