Hi,
My last name is Nestvedt and I am told my family came from Norway. My
grandfather is as far back as I have information. His name was Oscar
Nestvedt. He died when my father was 9 years old so no history was passed
on.

He lived in Mason City Iowa, USA. My Father was told Nestvedt is the name
of a City or Farm.

Do you know any City, Farms, or People in Norway named Nestvedt. Nestvedt
is a very rare name here in the States (phone book search list only my
immediate family).
I am doing some internet searching at various Norway sights but the
language is difficult for me to work through. Excuse my English.

There are "bygdebøker" for this area (history-books about the farms in
Stjørdal, people living there etc).

There is no 1875-census including Stjørdal (sorry).

....but there is a farm "Nestved" in Selbo (Selbu) too (you will find Selbu
at the map I showed you, right south of Stjørdal). This seems to be a larger
farm than the one in Stjørdal - I think...
