Hi,

Does anyone have a Bagdebok for Gausdal? I am looking for information about the farm Opsal (Opsahl).

The family I am researching is Torger Svendsen Opsahl and his wife Kjerstine Haagensdatter. They had four children:

Sven
Haagen
Martinus
Karoline

Martinus was born 22 Sep 1837 and left for America on 5 Apr 1862.

Thank you very much form the information! I found a lot of data at the digitalarkivet, but you gave me some important names and dates that I did not have.

In your list you do not have Martinus Torgersen Opsal, born 22 Sep 1837, the son of Torger Svendsen Opsal and Kari Klemetsdatter Fougner. I will try and attach a file wikth information on that family.

Hi Jan Olav,

Here is an error.

Ancestors of Torger Svensen Opsal:

vii. Peder Svensen Opsal [4309] was born on 22. jun 1814, was christened on 3. jul 1814,
and died on 22. sep 1877 in Risør, Aust-Agder at age 63.

This should be Jon (John), not Peder.
