Here is an Anun and family in census 1801.

County:Buskerud, Parish:Flesberg, Anex:Svenne, Place:Gutterud Nedre, Farm: Ramberg Sr.

But his wife has been given the wrong name Kierstie and the daughter only Mari.
Living together with 2 other daughters. The wifes half brother Ole and probably Anuns brother Aaron.

But this is not the right Anun so forget it.

I believe your find of Ingebor's father as Ole Helgesen is correct, for there is an Ole Helgesen age 69 living in her household in the 1801 census, though he is not identified as a relative.

I think I found Margaret's man Peder Pedersen in the cencus 1801 Sandsvær.

Sandsvær/Hedenstad is today the town Kongsberg.
The area is famous for all its silver mines. But none are in operation today ..
Working to break the silver needed a lot of labor which can you see in the cencus.
Almost all adult men have professional bergmann or bergm. that is a miner

I believe this is the correct Peder Pedersen in the 1801 census.

Leif, thanks for the maps website. It is the best I have seen. I found several places both in Buskerud and in Hedmark that I couldn't find on other maps online.

And thanks for the information that bergmand is a silver miner and the history of the area.

Ole Helgesen is also a miner (berg arbeider = directly translated "rock worker")

I have been looking for his birth but one problem with the old census 1801 is that one can not trust on age
As Ole Helgesen 69 years. Make it +- 5 years.

I did not find any with name Ole and father Helge from 1730 to 1733.

An other problem is that those miners often was moving around until they got married and settled down.

(PS. Do not bother translating your request to Norwegian. Most Norwegian have English as a second language at school.)

The father is called Peder Xstenss. Smed - the last word, Smed, would probably mean his employment, not the place where he lived. (Smed = Blacksmith)

can't get it.

Peder Pederson and his wife Marit Larsdtr., skifte 1834 at Stordalen under Stengelsrud in Jondalen.

I assume this refers to Marit's probate in1834, so I am looking for the death record for Marit Larsdtr.

This record of 7 (Aug) 1732 on right hand page, lower right column has name Peder Pedersen.
What does it say? (Q for wife?)

The intials at the end are the pastor's? In some records, there is a number next to the initials. Do you know what that refers to?
In some records there is a mark that looks something like TTT or ||| with a line across the top. Do you know what it means?

Yes, it means Peder Pedersen's wife. (Q=Qvinde=woman/wife)

The initials are the pastor's, I don't remember their names just now.
