tracing relatives

I am wanting to trace my relatives in Oslo Norway. I have a name of
my great Granfather and an approx date of birth, and the time when he
came over to England to marry. Where on earth do I start.

You're in a good place for that, Dave. What can you tell us about your
GGF? Names/dates/places that you have?

There are several censuses online, if he was there for 1865 you're in good
shape. What are his particulars, please?

You may be able to find him in the online census yourself.

or have a look here:

But if you give all your data, people may be able to help you here.
