Hello,
I will try to help you ....

(*) Who is Gelon ?

From the normand history : the earl of Blois

Have you acces to the book : Suhm, Historie af Danmark ?
Gelon is propobly mentioned t.II p.395-398, 408-411
He killed Osketil, who have killed Garnegaud in 906, to have the
castle of Blois.

His origins :
John O'Hart's "Irish pedigrees" : Gillion / Gillin / Gillnan :
Gillofinnen, in Irish means a shield

Gilleon na h’Airde, the "Beolan" of the Norse Sagas, who lived
in the tenth century, and who will be shown to be also the remote
progenitor of the Mackenzies (manuscript of 1467 the genealogy of
Clann Gille-Anrias)

The genealogy of the Clan Andres or Rosses in the manuscript of 1467
:
Gilleoin of the Aird, son of Erc, son of Lorn, son of Ferchar, son of
Cormac, son of Oirbeirtaigh, son of Feradach

Country : ARGYLL (Western Scotland)

His family :
* his first wife : Kaðlin (°874) daughter of Gangerrolf
children :
(1) Cristin : the predecessor of the old Earls of Ross
(2) Nidbjorg, her husband Helgi
(3) Bryce/Brico first jarl of Avranches (Normandy), his son Anslech

* 2nd wife : married ‘jure uxoris’ ca 911 with Richilde,
daughter of Robert le Fort.
Children :
(4) Richard, Archevêque de Bourges (+ 969)
(5) Gerlotte de Blois, her first husband Alain Barbetorte (comte de
Bretagne 936-952)
(6) Thibault le Viel earl of Blois, her wife Berthe de Bourgogne
(daughter of the Emperor Conrad III le Pacifique), and after her,
Liégarde (widow of Guillaume le Rothomagien)

(**) a second Duke of Normandy ?

Ragnald, the Norse : Viking king of DUBLIN and the ISLE OF MAN
Son of Sigtryggr
And from Flodoard : “Ragenoldus, princeps Normannorum qui in
fluvio Ligeri versabantur”
The parts of Normandy controlled by him : Cotentin and Avranchin
princeps Normannorum : from 903 up to his death in Rouen (ca 922,
killed by Guillaume le Rothomagien)
Bautes earl of Cambrai, one of his nephew, killed Guillaume le
Rothamagien
His son : Renaud earl of Roucy

(***) de Bray in Normandy
“Chroniques Neustriennes” :
Hasting (1066) : Bray le Comte, Brey
First cruisade (1096) : no

Widelin de brai (witness in 1047, charte n°154 donation à St

d’or

location de Bray = part of pagus of Talou (Rollon) + part of pagus of
Vexin (Raoul de Gouy)
no pagus of Bray

“Prieuré du Plessis-Grimould”
charte n°1288 : in 1253 Thomas de Bray and his uncle Raoul de Bray
(clerc) from le Rosel (Normandy)
“Abbaye du Val”
charte n°1 : in 1125, Guillaume de Bray and Gosselin de Bray (witness)

I think Widelin de brai is from the family of Grimoult earl of
Plessis.

After the battle of Val-ès-Dunes (1047) the ancestors of de Bray are
in the Odon’s Family.
Odon had two children :
(1) Jean de la Rivière : dsp
(2) A daughter : her husband, Roger fitz Richard ‘malus
filiaster’ (°1049)

To resume :
*Gelon is the son in law of Rollon
**The connection between Rollon and de Bray (father to son):
1. Rognvald The Mighty earl of Okney
2. Rolf ‘le Marcheur’ RAGNVALDSSON /Rollon/Robert 1er jarl
de Rouen (°870 en Norvège, +932)
3. Guillaume le Rothomagien 2nd jarl de Rouen dès 918 (+17/12/942)
4. Richard fils Gonnor, comte de Rouen (°933 à Fécamp, + 20/11/996 à
Fécamp)
5. Godfrey comte de BRIONNE & EU (+1015)
7. Richard FitzGilbert de Bienfaite (°1030, + Tonbridge en 1090)
8. Roger FitzRichard d’Orbec, « malus filiaster » seigneur du
Hommet (°1049 Bruges +/1102)
9. Robertus « nepos episcopi » (father of Richard du Humet)
10. Guillaume de Bray

And
* hommet/humet is the castle of Pirou (Manche, Normandy)
* Robertus “nepos episcopi” had 3 brothers :
- Osberni de Sancto Sansone : the ancestor of Malfillastre (and later
Fillastre) ‘s family in Normandy
- Amaury : his son Gérard Maufilastre de Busigny lord of Saint Aubert
- Auguste de la Rivière

* Popa (the concubine of Rollon) is the daughter of Adalgise earl of
Bayeux (son of Hardouin earl of Otlinga)
* Sprote (the concubine of Guillaume le Rothomagien) is the daughter
of Bothon the Dane earl of Bayeux
* Gonnor (the wife of Richard Ier) is the daughter of Haigrold earl of
Bessin (son of Thurkytel, the jarl of Bedford)
* Hawise de GUISNES (wife of Godfrey de Brionne)
* Gunnora d’AUNOU (the wife of Gilbert de Brionne) sister of
Foulques d'Aunou, daughter of OSMOND de Centvilles earl of Vernon (son
of Onund, son of Hrollaug RAGNVALDSSON king of Iceland, son of
Rognvald The Mighty earl of Okney)
* Alfwen/ Aelfgyva/AElgitha Godwinsdottir (the concubine in Flanders
of Richard fitz Gilbert), got married with William PECCHE after
Hasting :

she was the daughter of Godwin Earl of Wessex.

Do you have more informations about Bothon the Dane earl of Bayeux ?
For me, his viking name is Bardr and he is coming from Limerick and
was the son of Ivar.
And who is Farle (father of Gelon) for you ? I found no mention in
Normandy.

Please to read you soon
