Johan and Erikka - where did they go?

Johan Olsen. born: 03.01.1891 in Løten - Norway
and her wife:
Erikka Olsen (maiden name - Olausdatter) born: 05.05.1890 in Åmot - Norway
They married on 15/12/1922 in Løten - Norway.
They got a son Olaf Olsen, born: 14/03/1924 in Løten.

Olaf was left to Johan's sister Pauline in Stange in Norway, and about these we know the story, but:
Johan and Erikka disappeared from Løten just after 1924, and no one knows where they were gone since, and no one is buried in Norway with these names and these birth dates, as far as I know.
Johan had a sister, Inga Dorothea Olsdatter who traveled to America in 1907 and later got married there, and this family, we know everything about, but none of them knows anything about this two missing persons.

The legend says that Johan disappeared from the family shortly after 1924, and that Erikka got breast cancer and died, but we believe that they perhaps went off somewhere, after having placed there son with his sister Pauline.
Maybe someone can browse theres records to see if these names would be found with these birth data?
