The LA Times has a story today (10 Jan 2007) titled "French Royalty That's
Made in India"
I've sent them the relevant innformation from the archives already.

It would seem that a Y-chromosome DNA test would be Balthazar's best
bet to prove his claim of male-line Bourbon descent. There are quite a
few agnatic Bourbon lineages around, including the Spanish royal line,
Luxembourg royal line, Borbone-Parma, Borbone-Sicily, Brazil, and the
French Orleans, Anjou, and Busset lineages. Meanwhile it's not a huge
surprise that the European Bourbons aren't very welcoming toward
Balthazar, they don't get along very well among themselves either. The
Duc de France ( Orleans line ) and Duc d'Anjou ( Spanish Borbon line )
are currently feuding over which of them is the current titular heir
of France. I think the Borbone-Sicily line is also arguing over which
of its branches has the titular claim to Sicily and Naples.
