Dear Denis,

I understand that Louis XV acknowledged only one bastard. As he had his own
"house of flowers" there are quite a number of possibles.

I think it is ES III/2 341 which has a number of these. I have made a file
and will e-mail it to you.

Any link for a list of bastards from French king Louis XV ?
There is none in Pere Anselme, but a lot for Louis XIV. Likely
Pere Anselme was too close (in chronology) to Louis XV to dig any
bastard...

I am particularly interessed in bastard by a Fremont woman and
any noble De Caraffe. One Jean Baptiste de Caraffe is said to be
a bastard son of Louis XV and emigrant (arrived in Quebec around
1790) but this is based on what said a daughter when dying to a
priest, so many years later.
