Hugh,

I noticed your query on GEN-NORDIC-L for information about a farm in
Tynset, Hedmark. While I cannot answer your question about the farm
number, here is a contact point that may be able to help you
(http://www.tynset.kommune.no/default.as ... E=Contacts).
It is from the Tynset Kommune website
(http://norwegen.piranho.de/Hedmark_Tynsete.htm).

If you do not read Norwegian, you need to enter your name in the first
field, your email address in the second field, and your message in the
third field. I find nothing on their website in English; so, may I
suggest you keep your message very simple. Also, so they can see the
website you are referring to, provide them with the URL
(http://digitalarkivet.uib.no/cgi-win/we ... felt=skjul).

If you are unsuccessful in that approach, let me know and I will
introduce you to the Norway List of about 1,500 people researching our
Norwegian roots.

Have a nice day and
Happy Hunting.

not my query

it helps to quote the message you are replying to
and use the same historical spelling as well as the modern

The farm OLSBERG is situated in Tylldal in Tynset. Rasmus Anstensen is son of Ansten Rasmussen (1719-1765) and Sigrid Jonsdatter Prestegård (1726-1812). Ansten is son of Rasmus Bersvendsen ( - 1719) and Marit Embretsdatter. Marit is daughter of Embret Embretsen (1672- ), granddaughter of Embret Embretsen (1634- ) and greatgranddaughter of Embret who was living on Olsberg in 1616.
