Converting

Evening all, hopefully someone can help me. I have a .GFT file that I
want to convert to a GEDCOM file but I no longer have the GSP Family
Tree software. Could someone who does and is willing to do a
conversion for me please get in touch?

I have since bought Family Tree Maker and don't want to have to buy GSP
Family Tree again unless I have to.

Sorry to say but i am unable to open this file although i can see the
contents,

However there is one possibility you could look around for a free trial copy
of the programme.

I believe .GFT files were produced by software published by GSP, Global
Software Publishing/ers (or something like that). The initials appear on
the side of boxes sold with Family Tree Maker inside. Coincidence?

Why not get in touch http://www.gsponline.co.uk/ ? There is a UK phone

If that fails, contact me privately with the size of your file. If
it's not too big (I'm very tight on space), I'll let you have an email
address to which it can be sent, and I'll see if I can read it into
Softkey's "Family tree" - copyright 1996, published by GSP in
partnership with Personal Soft. I've not really used it, and have
never seen where it keeps family files so I can't tell what extension
it expects, but it purports to be able to import files, and it says it
can export GedCom. It can import Gedcom from Legacy 4.

I have a copy of the program so can do the conversion if you want to
send your file to me.
