Please tell me the farm name on this record, it is the very first one at the top of the page. I am not able to find it in the Våler bygdebok.
Also, by 1928, were children still being given the last name of the farm name where they were born?

Thor Asbjørn's parents: Snekker (carpenter) Sigurd Augustsen Holte, hustru (wife) Agnes Mariusdtr. They lived at Birkeli.

Birkeli might be the name of the house, I can't find any farm with this name in the census.

As for your last question: The answer is no.

Thank you very much, Else. I was not aware that there might be a name other than the farm.
I also thought it looked like Birkeli but couldn't find it any where. I live here in CA, USA. There is a city here named Berkeley.
