Need translation of Older Norwegian Dialect

Legg inn av gj14077 » 27 mai 2011 07:33:52

Would love to find someone to help with this person as well as others that I have but am not able to read or translate in online translators.

This one is for Hans Christensen Ånnerød:

I don't speak or read Norwegian and the google translator will not work with the older Norwegian dialect.

Thanks,
Kathleen Monks

Kan dere hjelpe denne personen med oversettelse? Hun postet på ancestry/rootsweb og jeg anbefalte henne å poste her.

Hun har hele slektstreet og alt, men er interessert i detaljene nå, så det trengs ikke noe reseach i digitalarkivet og kirkebøker. Bare oversettelse.
På forhånd takk.

--Can you please be so kind and help with translation? I recommended she post here.

She has the whole genealogy and everything, but she is interested in the details now, so there is no need to look up anything. Just translating.
Thanks.

Here is a rough translation. I did little to fix the word order or punctuation, but I'm sure you will understand most of it.

--
So that each of the children may know what they inherit from their deceased father, the value of the estate has been pronounced and calculated, to contain the following,
and then the widow herself demanded Christen Haraldsen Klyfve be asked to act as her legal guardian (?), who was himself present at the estate and accepted the role as legal guardian
Christen Rugtvedt as elder brother was appointed his unmarried sister Marj Hansdaatters guardian.

--

«Then the widow Margrethe Tollefsdaatter explained, that her mother Lifve Gundersdaatter, who has stayed with her some three years the 30th of March and with her
? for life will stay, which her deceased husband Hans Aannerød had promised her, that he would provide for her as long as the Lord would grant her life, and even
when the Lord saw fit to call for her through death, would give her a fine burial, the same promise the widow as well as her children gave to the old woman, which Lifve Gundersdaatter
who was now present and said what was spoken above had been promised to her, and further said she would stay on the farm Aannerød
until her dying day, and that she hoped when the Lord saw fit to claim her through death, that her daughter Margrethe Aannerød would fulfill her deceased husbands
promise of a plain and nice burial, then the old woman Lifve Gundersdaatter who was now at a high age, 88 years, does not intend or is even possible for her
for her few remaining years to move someplace else or leave her single daughter to search for another heir [to provide for her],
but demanded her means here present as goods to be written down and remain here for the time of her stay, after which it would pay for her burial.
Therefore the old woman asked the valets of the court to register and tax her means and from that her daughter Margrethe Aannerød would receive payment for the
time she had provided for her, so if her means exceed what her daughter has asked, the rest may go to her for food and entertainment
at the discretion of judgment and men. Then ? at the estate Morten Olsen and gave a written opposition, on behalf of himself and Tollef Olsens daughter, and also
Tollef Moe i Hierpen [Gjerpen] parish on behalf of the children of his foreman, deceased Efven Rugtvedts, and Olle Ballestad, who was present on behalf of his wife,
all heirs of the old woman Lifve Gundersdaatters as well as children and grandchildren, able to write, and offering the old woman as their mother to provide for her the same duration as her
stay at Aannerød, to make sure the means of the old woman be kept intact, and that all heirs thereafter may split movables and immovables between them,
as signed and stamped 25th of February. To this the old woman Lifve Rugtvedt said, that it is impossible for her, at her high age
to move from one heir to the next, but that she would stay at Aannerød until her dying day. Then the means of the old woman
were written into the [register of] goods, consisting of the following:

--

«In addition the widow Margrethe Aannerød said her mother is owning ???? which the grandmother and all heirs present agreed
a 21 Lispund part in the farm Teigen in Heiesta parish, of which nothing written was presented, so that it could be verified, hence nothing further in that case may be
done, as the same property stays undivided until the death of Lifve Rugtvedt

The first sentence in the last part should be aproximately like this:

In addition, the widow Margrethe Aannerød said her mother is owing, as far as she remembered, and which the grandmother and all heirs present agreed, ...
