FTM 2005

Hello,
I loaded FTM 2005 today and cannot use the search feature in the program.
Something seems to be blocking access to this but I don't know what. I am
running Windows XP SP1. I do not have a firewall enabled at this time. I am
running Symantec AV and Pest Patrol. I'm just wondering if one of these
programs is blocking access. If it is being blocked by one of these then I
wonder if there is some sort of adware in this program.
