Cincinnati obit/death notice

Legg inn av John A Rea » 29 okt 2004 21:32:15

My mother had listed my grandfather Dr Robert M. Rea as having died in
Asheville NC. An afternoon there showed that was evidently not
correct. Another afternoon in Sioux City IA, where he had practiced
and owned a drug store, produced an obituary datelined 1 April 1890
listing his death as occurring in College Hill OH, a "suburb" of
Clincinnati. I'd be most appreciative to know of an obituary /
and perhaps a death notice (if Cincinnati had them at that time).
(R. M. Rea's somewhat peripatetic life in the 80s and 90's have
madeit hard to trach him. Born in NJ in 1846; MD at Columbia
Medical NY) 1868; Married in IN in 1879, son born in Minneapolis KS in
Sept 1890, etc.)

Many thanks, John

John: Possibly him? Dr. Robert M. Rea, son of Dr. William Rea, of
Hackettstown, NJ. Was in Georgia, back to Hackettstown, practiced in
Hope, NJ in 1869, died in Cincinnati in 1890 and buried in
Hackettstown?
Source: Medical History of Warren County, 1890 available on Heritage
Quest at your local library or LDS Center.
Dad should be in there, too.
