Scouting Kentucky?

Legg inn av Roland » 07 sep 2004 00:42:57

I have an ancestors pension file that states he died at Fort Henry,
Teenessee 1862 from the effects of typhoid fever incurred at Scouting m Ky.

I assume the m stands for mountain but I can not find Scouting KY or a
mountain by that name.

Anyone know of this place?

Roland - without viewing the actual document I would guess perhaps he

incurred typhoid fever while "scouting in Kentucky."

Thanks Mike. After another careful peer through the magnifier it appears
that the "m" is actually the word "in". Have you ever heard of "Mr. Obvious"
on the radio? I guess it would apply here. Thanks again.

Still Scouting IN Kentucky...lol

You are correct. I was thrown off by thinking it was the name of a mountain,
they had capiltaized the "s" in the word implying(to me) a place. Thanks for
the response.
