Would anyone have access to births in Nova Scotia between 1847 and
1852? I am looking for the date for a Richard Wallace... and mainly
his parents names. Also, in NB, a James Burns, came over from Ireland
and settled in Sussex, NB, Canada.. thnx

Birth and death registrations did not start in N.S. until 1864, ran
until 1877, then took a break until 1908. Some were done before 1864,
but they are very "hit and miss". Marriage records were kept throughout
this period. So you are probably out of luck for Richard Wallace's birth
information. If you know his religion, you might have better luck
finding a baptismal entry. You will probably also need to know the
county he was born in. The NS Archives web site is
http://www.gov.ns.ca/nsarm

The New Brunswick provincial archives has microfilms of birth
registrations from 1801-1899. Check their web site at
http://www.gnb.ca/Archives
