Andrew Kubanyi: arrived in US 1923 with my Gr-Grandfather John/Jean Kubanyi.
A.K. was 29 (b. 1893/94), a doctor, nephew to John/Jean. Address is stated as
708 St. Nicholas Ave. Manhattan NY. This info I got from the ship manifest.
More of a mystery is Anna Kubanyi: arrived in US 1904 with my Gr-Grandfather
John/Jean Kubanyi. She was 11 years old (b.1893). Address is stated as 244 W.
48th St. Manhattan NY. Manifest has no more info. She pops up in the death
index (d. 1976) last residence 15221 Pittsburgh Penn. Did she have a daughter
named Charlotte Kubanyi (b.1922 d. 1986). Last residence 15221 Pittsburgh
Penn. Anna would have been 29?, perhaps unmarried w/child?
I don't know where to go to find anymore info. I do have my Gr-Grandfather's
census' (thanks to the kind folks here), and have census' for my Grandfather
Victor Kubanyi. Andrew and Anna are not included in any of those census'.
What the heck happened to these people?
The address 600 W. 125th St. Manhattan NY pops up, too.
The family name was Kubanik when my Gr-Grandfather, my Grandfather, sister
(Therese Anna K.) and my Gr-Grandmother (Marie) first came to the US in 1893.
Gr. Grandfather, Andrew and Anna were born in Hungary. All to US via France.
Any help would be so appreciated. My head hurts from the bricks in the wall
TIA.
