I am glad your message is a question and not a statement. You are convinced
but you are not certain, because you want to know what other people think.
For you Ian Mortimer has re-written history, but as convincingly has Sir
Laurence Gardner. It took a while before the dust settled and then it was
fairly obvious that he was wrong. Do not regard Ian Mortimer as gospel
truth, and even without reading his book people have all the right in the
world to disagree with just the statement that Edward II survived his
murder, whether it is you or Ian Mortimer who says so.
Best wishes

I have just finished reading this fascinating biography of the 1st Earl of
March. I am quite convinced that Edward II was not murdered in 1327/28
but survived until 1341. What do people think?
