New to The List

Legg inn av BettyLou Boysen » 21 sep 2004 00:43:24

I am BettyLou Boysen and joined the list some two weeks ago. I am finding
the posts informative and well resented.

My questions concern:
1. The best way research surnames from the archives
2. Find someone to review and critique to make sure that I am on the
right path [I can submit a list of names to anyone answering my request by
contacting me and not posting to the list.]

I am not new to genealogy but new to English research. My first few months
have found that I had several people entered twice as I did not do searches
for variations if the name; I believe I have the doubles remove.

I call myself an "archaeological researcher" as I am always digging around
for more that just an ancestors name. My goal is to find a minimum of three
references for a given event of an ancestor. I want to know something about
the person and the life and times of the era.

I thoroughly enjoyed the list and even have found references to my surname.

You are perceptive.

Some posts are well resented indeed.
