Where can I find the names of the parents of Adam Wyot d.b.1320 d.d.1385.
in Yorkshire. His wife's name was Agnes. I have a son named William for
them, who married Jane Bailiffe. The place Adam and William were born is
Stohenge. Also what source would verify that the family came to England with
the Conqueror? Did he have a will or Estate Records?

I am terribly sorry that was Sothenge, not Stohenge, where Adam and
William Wiot were born.. William was born about 1350 and he died in 1388.

So says one pedigree, although another (the 1619 Visitation) makes
William, instead of his father, marry Agnes Wigan. This is the earliest
generation that the traditional pedigrees trace to, so if you want to
trace the family earlier, or even confirm it this far, you are going to
have to go to the original records - land tenure, and various court rolls.
This is called South haugh in a pedigree from the late 16th century. It
is perhaps noteworthy that this pedigree, published in Misc. Gen. et
Her., ser. V, v. 8, p. 133, differs from the 1619 Visitation in one
other important aspect - the pedigree shows Galfred Wiat, grandfather of
Sir Henry Wiat, to have married Anne, daughter and heiress of Robert
Wiat, grandson in turn of Adam, while the Visitation shows Galfred
("Godfrey") himself the son of Robert.
I think it extremely unlikely that you will be able to confirm this, as
the family is first known in the late 14th century, leaving you with
about 8 generations to bridge. Bear in mind that most such claims of
descent from a companion of the Conqueror are of late invention.

I have located the Visitation in question, so I can provide further details.

This is the 1619 Visitation of Kent.
It is Southauge in the 1619 Kent Visitation pedigree.
It calls him "Godfredus".

All:
Leo van de Pas', Genealogics page has a list of the ancestry of Hawte
Wyatt. I also have a page with additional lines of his ancestry,
http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com ... wyatt.html
There used to be a web page in England by a Wyatt with information from
his father's book on the Wyatt ancestry. That page seems to be down.
George Wyatt wrote a history of the Wyatt family, and it has been
published in the Transactions of the Royal Historical Society. Note that
it does not agree with the pedigrees in the Visitations of Kent or with
those in Barry's Kent. I think there is still a lot of work to be done
on the family in Yorkshire records. My current project is checking what
I have against the entries in the DNB. Once I have access to the new
Oxford DNB, I'll use it as well.

Who are the ancestors of Adam Wyot? Can they be traced back to royalty?
