I was wondering if there is any information available about the family (wife
and children) and parents of Andrea Dandolo (1307-1354), Doge of Venice
1343-1354 and also the famous Enrico Dandolo (1107-1205) Doge 1192-1205. Was
his father's and Grandfather's name also Enrico? and did he also had a son
Enrico?
His other son Renierio (died 1208) was a famous Venetian Admiral in charge
of a large fleet with Roggerio Premarin. Together they conquered Corfu in
1204.

There is a well-received new book on Enrico Dandolo and the Dandolo
family, based on thorough archival research, by Thomas Madden of
Washington University of Saint Louis: _Enrico Dandolo and the Rise of
Venice_ (Johns Hopkins, 2003).

Thanks,
I will see if one of the libraries here has a copy available to borrowing.

There was a Dandolo who killed himself after being
defeated at Curzola, or not?
