Karl Knudsen

I am looking for a Charles Knudsen born in about 1842 in Norway. He could be a Karl Knudsen. He emigrated to the USA may be in 1865. I found a Karl Knudsen who came to Quebec in 1865 on the Tanaro. He married a Jensine Jensen . He had children named Anna, Jenny, Joseph, Tomine, and Thomas. Thomas was my Grandfather. I know Anna was born in 1872. My Grandfather was born in 1882. All children were born in Illinois. Most if not all in Chicago. At sometime after my Grandfathers birth Knudsen spelling was changed to Knudson. On the Ships passenger list this Karl Knudsen was a carpenter and my Great Grandfather was a ships carpenter. It also said he was from Kragero.
