Who isn't descended from Branca d'Oria?

Paraphrasing Leo's question - which has an extreme
interest for the demographics of genealogy - I now
ask, who isn't descended from Branca d'Oria?

Branca d'Oria was born in Genova circa 1230, and died
after 1315, pribably executed after being captured by
troops under the order of the Angevins. He is said
(the assertion was made by Dante) to have killed his
father in law Michele Zanche during a feast to which
Zanche had been invited, sometime in the summer of
1275.

His blood (metaphorically...) spreads from his son
Bernabò Doria, who married Eliana Fieschi, the niece
and gniece of two popes, and whose descent enters the
Visconti family - and from then on goes everywhere.

As the two (female) Doria lines that settled in
Portugal - the Madeira branch and the Brazilian branch
- are from the Oneglia clan, they descend from Branca
d'Oria and so it's quite common to find people here in
my country who can trace their ancestry to this
*bandito* (the word originally meant, someone who has
been banned; it now means criminal, rascal). In
Europe, royalty and nobility everywhere claim lord
Branca - Branca means ``the claw,'' cf. Cane, Gran
Cane, Mastino della Scala - as an ancestor.

The answer looks like .... "practically anybody
not Continental European who is a nobody".

At least according to Leo van de Pas.

I'm not, for instance, though I miss a connection
by only one generation.

Yes, I suspect that his descent concentrates in
Continental Europe.
