Viola Larson Fontanelle
Viola Larson, 87, of Fontanelle died Sept. 20, 2004, at Iowa Lutheran Hospital in Des Moines.
Services will be 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 23, at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Fontanelle. The Rev. John Emerson will officiate the service. Burial will be in Fontanelle Cemetery. Visitation will be 2 to 8 p.m. today at Steen Funeral Home, 525 Maple St., Fontanelle. A memorial has been established in her name.
Mrs. Larson, daughter of Goldie (Purdy) and William Brown, was born Sept. 4, 1917, in Adair County. She married Hardy Larson. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include nieces, nephews and step-family members.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother Leo W. Brown, husband and two stepsons, Larry and Rodney Larson.

ST. MATTHEWS — Dorothy Marie Clinton, 60, of 190 Windmill Lane, St. Matthews, died Tuesday morning, November 7, 2006, in Palmetto Health Richland. A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, November 11, 2006, at Sardis Baptist Church with Rev. Dean Reynolds officiating.
Mrs. Clinton was born July 30, 1946, in Aberdeen, SD, to Dorothy and Hardy Larson. She went home to be with the Lord November 7, 2006. Dorothy resided in St. Matthews, SC, where she was employed with Brakefield Enterprises and an active member of Sardis Baptist Church. She lived in the Quad City area until 1991. Dorothy was a very successful PBGV and Labrador dog breeder. She showed horses and drove Davenport school bus and transit bus for North East Transit Services. She also drove dump truck and operated construction equipment. She enjoyed cross-stitching and reading.
Survivors include her husband, Dennis Clinton of the home; daughters, Jan Dehning and Pam Felton; brother, Spencer Larson; grandson, John Anderson; a number of nieces and nephews.

Daughter to Dorothy
Miss Nadine L. Castor -- Swansea (Granddaughter to Hardy Larson)
Memorial services for Miss Nadine Lynn Castor, 35, of 2890 Old State Road, Swansea, will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, February 13, 2006, at Sardis Baptist Church, with the Rev. Dean Reynolds officiating.
Miss Castor died Thursday, February 9, at her residence.
She was born in Moline, Ill., a daughter of Dorothy Marie Clinton and Ronald Paul Castor. She later moved to Davenport, Iowa, where she graduated form North High School and excelled in softball and basketball. Miss Castor also showed horses. She was a shift leader at Devro and Brakefield Enterprises. Her interests included playing darts, pool, Nascar racing, Harley Davidsons, and needlework. She attended Sardis Baptist Church.
Survivors include mother and stepfather, Dorothy and Dennis Clinton, of St. Matthews; father and stepmother, Ron and Rita Castor, of Rock Island, Ill.; three sisters, Jan Dehning, of Dublin, Calif., Sherry Oak, of Reynolds, Ill., and Pam Felton, of Davenport, Iowa; grandfather, Paul Castor, of Taylor Ridge, Ill.; one niece, Stephani Oak, of Reynolds, Ill.; two nephews, Jonathon Oak, of Reynolds, Ill and John Anderson, of Davenport, Iowa; many aunts, uncles and cousins.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, at Dukes-Harley Funeral Home of Orangeburg. At other times friends may call at the residence of Mrs. Dorothy Marie Clinton, 190 Windmill Lane, St. Matthews.
Nadine, we love you and you will be dearly missed.
