Golden oldie,

D. Spencer Hines---"Lenin's patience, never plentiful, was exhausted. "Why," he demanded,
"should we bother to reply to Kautsky? He would reply to us, and we would have to reply
to his reply. There's no end to that. It will be quite enough for us to announce that
Kautsky is a traitor to the working class, and everyone will understand everything."
"The Unknown Lenin: From the Secret Archive" **Yale University Press**(1996)Newsweek,
16 Sep 1996, p.100; [George Will]

Just curious what the first impression of D. Spencer Hines on this
newsgroup was. It seems that the best way tot treat him is to look at
his quote.

The Newsgroups patience, never plentiful, was exhausted. "Why", we
demanded, should we bother to reply to D. Spencer Hines? He would
reply to us, and we would have to reply to his reply. There's no end
to that".

Well after 17.600 searching results one could indeed come that that
conclusion. My advise is ignorem. Ignorem when he replies, ignorem
when he wants us to reply, ignorem when he tries to bait, ignorem ad
nauseum.

Ditto the unbearably obnoxious and malevolent troll Bill

Arnold. If ignoring him would prompt his departure from
this NG, I suspect as a result many regular posters would
return.

I agree. Having been raised in a household of child psychiatrists - I
learned quickly that the best way to deal with undisciplined children
is for the adults to ignore them! The same applies to "pretend
genealogists" as well I think!!!
