English Record Offices with online searches

Legg inn av Gjest » 19. februar 2008 kl. 4.09

In addition to the national collection available online through http://www.pro.gov.uk
and the ever-increasing assortment of local archives available on
http://www.a2a.org.uk, a wide variety of County Record Offices have been
putting their collections online recently.

These are the collections that I am aware of; are any others known to
members of this list?

Durham:

Essex (requires Reader Ticket for log-in):

http://seax.essexcc.gov.uk/login.asp

Gloucestershire:

Hampshire:

Kent:

http://www.kentarchives.org

West Sussex:

http://www.westsussexpast.org.uk/searchonline/

Wiltshire:

Many of these are additional to the material on A2A, and include
methods of obtaining copies of the underlying original documents, in
some cases online.
