Comberford of Staffs: online resource

Legg inn av Gjest » 18. januar 2008 kl. 3.15

It's a bit wet today, so I settled down to compose the first in what I
intended as a detailed series of posts on the Comberford family of
Comberford and Tamworth, Staffordshire. (I am very conscious that
it's been a long time since I was able to post any new research.)

While googling for a reference I recalled having seen some months ago,
I came across this magnificent website by Patrick Comerford:

http://comerfordfamily.blogspot.com/200 ... amily.html

It provides an extraordinary amount of detail about the Comberfords
and their descendants, presented in an informative and highly readable
fashion. It is thoroughly researched and well-referenced, detailing
the family largely in chronoligical order.

As a scholarly yet accessible presentation of mediaeval and Stuart
genealogy, it is deeply impressive.

Anyone with an interest in the Comberford family, or in the history of
Tamworth and its district, and in 16th century Midlands recusancy
would be well advised to have a look at this site.

Kind regards

Thank you Michael for your kind comments and for drawing attention to
these files.

I hope to intend the files as I work through more of my research, so
please keep in touch with those pages.

Best wishes,

Patrick Comerford
