Fw: What is Royalty ??

Legg inn av Leo van de Pas » 18 des 2007 00:31:51

Dear Dora,

No, I am not what? :-) Have I ever boasted about "my cousin Diana" ? I have
no claims in my own family to anything, I am a descendant of teachers,
farmers and builders, and even a koperteuth who died in Denmark.

I thought your approach is very interesting, and this made me ask "what is
royalty". If we are "too" strict, I am sure there are no total female royal
lines going to medieval origins, and so even five is too much :-) I fear
(and I do not want to go there) it becomes a matter of semantics, Queen
Elizabeth is a royal, should she therefor have a 'royal lineage' whether it
is in the male of female line? Lets wait and see if others are willing to
say anything. Did you see the "interesting" countries in the list :-)
.
Leo

Dora Smith has raised a very interesting aspect in regards to "Royalty".
What is exactly Royalty?
