Family Tree Maker

I currently own Broderbund Family Tree Maker ver 10 running on XP. I have
moved to Windows Vista and was wondering if Family Tree Maker 2008 by
Ancestry.com is compatible with Vista. Also will I be able to import my ftw
file from ver 10 to 2008?

Thanking you in advance,
MrB

Hello,
Your FTW file can be imported into 2008. I am not running Vista so I
cannot tell you about that. However I am using FTM ver.16 as well as
FTM2008, I find ver.16 lets me print out an all in one tree were as 2008
does not allow this and drops a few other features. So I use ver.16 to
enter all the data and as my master file creator and then I import into
2008 for its ability to search Ancestry.com directly.
So if you can run your original FTM or even update it to ver.16 that is
the option I would choose.

Alan,
Thanks. I finally found the system requirements for Version 2008 and it runs
on XP and Vista. I can still run version 10 as I am dual-booting right now,
but I find that inconvenient. Thanks for the input.
