Generations Grande

Does anyone know who is the provider of Generatons Grande these days.
First it was Sierra, then I think Broderbund, and now I don't know.
I have Grande v8.0 from a past life - and it has a few wrinkles on XP.
Does anyone also know of any upgrade avaialable for XP - I know it is up to
v8.5, but for the life of me can't find who supplies it (not retails it).

Cheers

Chris.

The Broderbund genealogy products were acquird, IIRC, by Genealogy.com, which is
now part of Ancestry.com, which is now the owner of Family Tree maker which was
also formerly a Broderbund product. I doubt that you will find any support for
Generations Grande at Ancstry, though.

Are you having problems getting the GG viewer to run under XP?

Many thanks for the comments.
I'll follow it up, but as you say, without a lot of hope.
Maybe I should think of changing software if it's no longer supported.

GG has been a very good suite and very good for my purpose.
Mind you I'd be interested in what others find good also.
However in changing to XP I have found it has strange wrinkles in selecting
colours for displays on the trees, background for boxes, etc.
Otherwise it works well under XP, but just with the annoying wrinkles.

Thanks

Chris

Find the executable in Windows Explorer. Right click on the executable and
choose "Properties" from the context menu. Select the "Compatability" tab, check
the box under "Compatability mode" and choose "Windows 98 / Windows Me."
