If anyone has time to study the first line on these two pages, I'd be
grateful. It is the name that looks like "Colgone", last name Helland.

Ancestry.,com has this census twice in two different handwritings on August
13, 1870, both by F.M. Parker. In both of them the first name of the female
looks like "Colgone", but that name doesn't exist in the world, as far as I
can tell. I know this individual's name was Gura, aka Guru or Guri, and she
was married to John Helland. Also, the neighbouring houses have known
relatives.
Does anyone by chance have an idea what the name probably was? Gura, Guru
and Guri are common female Norwegian names back then. To call her something
that looks like Colgone indicates to me that there was a longer version of
her name and the enumerators were guessing.
I realize this is a bit complicated but I do wonder what the name was as it
might help me find her in other records like the ship crossing.
These censuses are our only links to these relatives and I am trying to
solve several mysteries. Anyone with any ideas, I would be grateful to hear
them.

What about Colgera or Colgora? I see that the GenWeb site for that
county has it as Colgora in their transcription of that census record.

Agat is a different person - it's Agnes - Agat must have been a variation or
nickname.
Thanks to everyone for their ideas about the name in the census.
