Pur of Brockhampton and Breamore

Hi,

I have found references to William Pury of Breamore, Hants (died 1547) being granted by lease the priory of Breamore in March 1539 for 21 years. He also held the rectory, which he bequeathed in his will. He had property in Brockhampton also and there is a record in the National Archives of the Pery family holding land there in 1529-32. This was Thomas Pery and also names his parents, grandparents and great grandparents.

Two questions really- if there were a lease to William Pury of the first lands- where would I find it? And secondly if Thomas Perry had land in Brockhampton (Havant- miles away from Breamore) in 1529 and William Pury held land there in 1547 there must be some connection between them. Quite possibly they could be father and son- but how would I go about confirming this?

Thanks

Vicki
