has anyone....

used the email feature to write the NARA or the family
history library.

I wrote both of these places , both seem to be automated
responses, and not very good ones, although they appear to
be from real people.

So does anyone have an address for where I would write
(snail mail) for the first papers towards naturization for
Altus Arkansas, (franklin county)?

take care

Neither NARA nor the FHL does research for you; both will
under the right set of circumstances make a copy of
something if you tell them exactly where to look (for NARA,
you'd need Film series M-xxxx, reel yyy, name of applicant
month-day-year). The FHL wants pretty much the same thing
only with their film number or library call number for a
book.

Write the
Clerk of Court, Franklin County,
townnamehere Arkansas zipcode here

You don't need his name and chances are good you don't need
a street address either, but if you feel edge about it,
http://www.usgenweb.org/AR and select Franklin county. It
should be there.

Good luck.

Thanks Cheryl.
Thats the problem, all I was asking for was where to write
for the actual records as I had the information from the
index etc etc., and neither one of these folks seemed to
know.

Thanks for the information. I did find it under several
layers and layers of information on the arkansas gen web on
an off site link. Maybe google would have been
faster/better.

take care
Liz
