I 1801-telling for Stadsbygd, finner vi Anders Jensen, 35, kone Anne Larsdatter, 30, og fem barn -- alle bosatt på Småviken under Esvik i Rissa. Jeg finner dåpen for ni barn (1793-1808 ) i Vital Records Index for Stadsbygd, men ikke dåp eller vielse for Anders eller Anne. Hvor komme de fra?

I think Anders Jensen is identical to Anders
Jensen Sørvigsjøen born 1768 in Rissa (died 1841) and married to Anne Larsdtr. Landrø b. in Lensvik(1771 - 12.09.1841). I only have one son (Lars A. Smaavikan (1797 - 1879) and decendants of him in my DB)

Yes, I had them married in my database also, but then I found in the Lensvik book (s. 144) that the 1771 Anne Larsdatter Landrø (døpt 26/4 1771) married Hans Andersen Auset and had several children with him about the same time. The only other Anne Larsdr. Landrø I can find was born in 1781 and unmarried at the time of the 1801-telling. The ages of the Anne Larsdatters at Småviken and Auset in 1801 were both given as 30.

I will check the kirkebok microfilm later this week to see if I can find any clues.

It must have been at least two Anne Larsdtr. (Landrø?)born ab 1771: One married Anders Sørvigsjøen and she died 12th of Sept. 1841. The other one married (1794) Hans Andersen Auset, and she died 8th of April 1833.

I found Anne Larsdtr. Indergaard b. March 1771, and she married Anders Jensen Vikan (aka Sørvigsjøen!). They were in my DB, and I have several children registered.. I have now cleared up this mess!

Very good detective work! My tremenningsbarn in Oslo will be happy. I found Anne's parents in the 1762 census for Frøya, but Anders Jensen does not appear in the Vital Records Index for Stadsbygd pr.gj., so perhaps the IGI source is in error about his birthplace. In addition to these 8 children, the VRI also shows they had a girl named Eli Andersdatter døpt 9/6 1793 in Stadsbygd pr.gj.
