Law of the Sea Convention and our politicians:SPEAK UP !!!

in my humble opinion and pardon my grammar, the Law of the Sea
Convention is a great chance to do it right in the Arctic Circle,to do
it right for the Environment,Energy,Economy and Politics, let's
suppose we had normal human beens as politicians:

all the key countries, USA,Russia,Denmark,Norway,Canada and Island,
that are directly next and over the Arctic Circle agree to split its
seabed , from each other farthest coast point straight up to the North
Pole (leaving the waterways and the Pole open to international trade)
and establish an international Company to do the search of oil-gas-
methane-minerals-etc. and with TLC start with common standards to pull
the stuff up, respecting animals and environment and watched over by
the Enviro people, video the drilling and the piping, and avoiding,by
any means necessary ,any spills and pollution leaks, and it can be
done !

Here in the USA,the Pentagon wants the Congress to ratify the Law of
the Sea Convention, but ultra-extreme groups in Washington are calling
it a give away,they are suggesting to take hundreds of miles on each
side of Alaska and the NE and claim control over them, this means
theft for Canada and Russia, who would have to give seabed right in
front of their land,its absurd and it would create confrontation with
Canada and Russia, but hey! that's how some Lobby's and some lawyers
get paid millions in DC, they create the war , confrontation or fight
and then they lobby and do the law from the 2 sides and collect huge
fees, it's criminal but a reality , so clearly the President has an
incredible opportunity to do America,the world and his Legacy a
massive deed,so the neocons around him,Bolten-Kellner-Kaplan-
Braunstein-Wolff and in the Lobby 's are Mehlman ( Akin, Gump) and
Berman at Ogilvy,etc.,will insist that the best for him is to refuse
ratification and to go directly to conflict and international
confrontation and if possible with threats of bombing and nuclear
oblivion for all except the paying customers of the neocons, so the
question is what the leaders of the other countries will do ? will
they show vision and decision and will they play their cards and the
USA public opinion wisely to achieve success for all ?

with estimates of 60 to 100 billion barrels of oil and gas available
and another 100 billion barrels of very difficult reach also there,
this source of energy could create jobs, wealth,security and progress
to many , a win-win situation....this wealth could finance
fuelcells,solar,wind and water turbines right in the area, organic
farming, education,training,geothermal,fusion tech., ethanol of new
sources from the seas,new ship and year round construction with new
materials like composites and alloys, new all-weather motors
technology ,etc.,a chain reaction of good stuff !!!! ,but all this is
only possible if the leaders want to do the right thing...so please,
SPEAK UP !!!!!!
