Dear Everyone!

Does anybody know, from which more well known Strachan Branch, the
Strachans of Brigton, who "tempus Robert III"
came in possession of the lands of Brigton, descended?

And exactly who were the ancestors of Gilbert Strachan, around 1520 a
Canon of Aberdeen and Moray, and brother of the mother of af John
Mortimer of the Flemington Mortimers, in 1626 mentioned together with
his uncle Gilbert Strachan.

This Gilbert Strachan would be a Strachan of Brigton Related to the
early Strachans at Claypotts Castle.

Strachan may also be written Strathauchin, and Brigton could also be
written Bridgeton, it is situated near Glasgow.

Sincerely from Allan M. Andersen. Denmark near Roskilde.
