Why Genealogy is Bunk: Swallowing the DNA Poison Pill

Eastman's Online Genealogy Newsletter notes,
as of June 20, 2007, that, in "A Video Interview
with David Nicholson" . . . " David gives a brief
background of the research you can accomplish
by using DNA. Would you believe 170,000 years?"
http://eogn.typepad.com/

This is the DNA poison pill for all WRITTEN records.
This is the poison pill for all cultural history.
We only have records back circa 6,000 years.
What does 6K or less [circa A.D. 1500] do for
someone who can spit into the more esoteric
170K time frame? It is all meaningless from
an evolutionary standpoint, is it not? As well
as emotion, feeling, caring, or remembering?

"The central idea of biological evolution is that
all life on Earth shares a common ancestor,
just as you and your cousins share a common
grandmother." NOT. This empty idea justifies
wars, killing the weak, Jews, innocents and outcasts.

REPLY:

Yehuda Bauer noted the Darwinian Jewish Aryan conflict:
"[T]he basic motivation [of the Holocaust] was purely
ideological, rooted in an illusionary world of Nazi imagination,
where an international Jewish conspiracy to control the world
was opposed to a parallel Aryan quest. No genocide to date
had been based so completely on myths, on hallucinations,
on abstract, nonpragmatic ideology — which was then executed
by very rational, pragmatic means."

I'm afraid Tinney pere et fils (frere et frere?) have gone the

way of Ed Conrad or our perennial favorite, MI5victim. Their
only redeeming act has been the "Academic Genealogy" link - and
now even that's suspect

IMNSHO, discussions of religion and politics are waaaaay out of
place here and should be directed to more appropriate newsgroups.
Same's true of pseudo-science, creationism, intelligent design,
luddism in general. Folks can believe whatever-the-hell they
wish and 'cuss and discuss those beliefs to their heart's
content - where such discussions are appropriate and welcome.

I'd add that, again IMNSHO, it's one thing to post a
tongue-in-cheek response to a thread and quite another to
attempt to hijack or otherwise subvert a discussion group
such as this with inappropriate and unrelated codswallop.

My US$0.02 (expressed in 1970 $$ with no adjustment for
inflation).

Internet, DNA Tests Let Average Joes Practice
'Extreme Genealogy'
http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,256631,00.html

COMMENT: "To push farther into the past, he turned
to DNA." DNA testing has made it possible for people
to make connections when the paper trail fades into
tatters." FALSE. WRONG. The following is NOT
genealogy. It is assumptions within assumptions,
NOT connections.

[A statistical analysis of the genetic data showed
that whether they were named Huebscher or Isseroff,
Wolinsky or Rosa, all of the families must have
shared a single common ancestor who probably lived
four or five centuries ago, long before most Jews
even had surnames, much less written vital records.
Though his research is not yet conclusive, Huebscher
believes the common genetic ancestor may have been
descended from Sephardic Jews who lived in Spain
before the Inquisition.]
.. . .

["We're all related to royalty," Drew said.
The trick is to prove it. But thanks to the power
of extreme genealogy, it can be a lot easier than
you might think.] NOT.

Understanding Evolution: History, Theory, Evidence,
and Implications
http://www.rationalrevolution.net/artic ... _Evolution
"Modern" evolution is just a continuous rerun
of idolatry, a very old philosophy, generated by
those who have never understood the true worth
and dignity of mankind, (which lack of social
self esteem and personal self worth), is a core
source, over time, of wars, killing the weak,
Jews, innocents and outcasts. Real genealogy
turns the hearts and is intelligent.

[The first logically proposed evolutionary
concept is agreed to have come from Anaximandros
Anaximander) of Miletos, who lived from 610 BCE
to 547 BCE . . . Anaximandros; for he declares,
not that fishes and men were generated at the
same time, but that at first men were generated
in the form of fishes, and that growing up as
sharks do till they were able to help themselves,
they then came forth on the dry ground.
- Plutarch (1st century CE) . . .
Animals come into being through vapors raised
by the sun. Man, however, came into being from
another animal, namely the fish, for at first he
was like a fish. Winds are due to a separation
of the lightest vapors and the motion of the
masses of these vapors ; and moisture comes
from the vapor raised by the sun from them;
and lightning occurs when a wind falls upon
clouds and separates them. Anaximandros was
born in the third year of the forty-second
Olympiad. . . .]
- Hippolytus (3rd century CE)

The DNA tool, used to establish idolatry, in
any form, is the DNA poison pill for all WRITTEN
records. This is the poison pill for all cultural
history. Example: [Tinith, Tinnit, or Tint,
i.e. Tanit appears circa the 5th century B.C.
at Carthage. This chief goddess of Carthage,
similar to Astarte, was mainly a mother
goddess with fertility symbols included in her
reproductions and some data indicating connection
with the heavens. Worship was performed in the
areas of Malta, Spain and Sardinia, many times
given the characteristic of the face of Baal.
This dreadful religion included human sacrifice
of child victims. The remains were buried in
urns found in the "Sanctuary of Tanit" at
Carthage, as well as at Hadrumetum, Sulcis,
Cirta, Calaris, Nora and Motya.]

Today? Abortion.

None of that is familiar, though I don't know the Lawson line before
~1800, so it could be. They were in the Scottish coal mining areas
in (if my memory is correct) Fife and (before that) Lanark. My

[restarting slowly after a few years of neglect]

Probably a different line, or related farther back than I have researched.
William "The Rebel" Lawson was born in Montrose, Scotland in 1731. At the
age of 15 he fought in the Battle of Culloden where he was captured by the
British, and sent to the U.S. as an indentured servant in North Carolina.
After about a year of that, he escaped and went to Virginia. When the
revolution broke out, he was apparently so eager to fight the British again
that he enlisted. I've pasted my notes below. He was apparently a real
character.

He was the son of a widow. It may be assumed that his father was killed
during the Scottish up rising of the followers of "Bonnie Prince Charlie",
perhaps at the Battle of Culloden, Apr 16, 1746. William was arrested and
confined at Chester and Carlisle. On Sep.25, 1746, an agreement was signed
to transport these prisoners to the plantations at the rate of 5 lbs. per
head, and on May 5, 1747, he was shipped out aboard the "Gildart" and
arrived at Port North, Potomack, Maryland on Aug. 5, 1747.
He was bound over to a plantation owner by the Captain of the ship, for
which service the Captain was paid a goodly sum of tobacco. The people to
whom he was bound did not treat him well. He was not permitted to eat at the
table with the family but had to eat alone in the kitchen. The master had a
valuable dog, and one day he switched his tail across Wm.'s plate, whereupon
he cut the tail off. Screaming in pain, and spraying blood all over the
floors, carpets and furniture, the dog ran through the house. When the
master demanded to know why Wm. had cut the dog's tail off, he replied that
he had often been told to eat what he found on his plate and ask no
questions! Although the family had plenty of milk, he never got any, so one
day when the mistress told him to feed the cow, he got a bundle of oats and
held them under the water spout in the running water. when she asked what he
was doing, he said he was feeding the only cow that ever gave any milk for
him!
After being there about a year, he ran away. Sometime in the 1750s he met
and married his wife in Halifax County, Va. , and during the 1770s and 1780s
they were living in Montgomery County, Va. On Sep. 13, 1777, he enlisted in
Captain Daniel Trigg's Company of the Montgomerty County Militia. They
fought Indians in the western part of Va. and what is now West Va. He was on
a list of officers and non-coms dated Mar. 31, 1781 at which time he was 50
and not very fit . He participated in the Batle of King's Mt. He was in a
group of 200 Virginians under Col. Campbell who assembled at Sycamore Shoals
on the Wautauga River. On Sep. 26, 1780, these men left for So. Car. to
"catch and destroy" Ferguson", and on Oct. 7, 1780 they did. In 1782, he
bought 145 acres on Sugar Run, a branch of the LittleRiver, then in 1790, he
bought an additional 200 acres. On Nov. 14, 1796, he sold this land to
Eliazer Cole for 300 Lbs. and moved to Russell County and settled at Big
Moccasin Creek., where he purchased 155 acres on Mar. 26, 1798 from John and
Mary Frazer. This tract was known as Little Valley. He sold this off as
follows: 50 acres to his son, wm. in 1806, 50 acres to John Smith in 1816,
and 55 acres to Wm. and Jessie Smith, in 1822. He had mean while bought 75
acres from Jonathan Wood for 16 Lbs. on Mar. 2, 1807 and 75 acres from John
Wood for 6 Lbs. this land was on Moccasin Creek.
The distance to the Co. seat in Lebanon became too much for the citizens so
they petitioned to form a new county. Wm. signed this request as did his
son, Wm, Jr. On Nov. 24, 1814, Scott Co. Va. was created and named in honor
of Gen. Winfield Scott. He died of old age on Apr. 18, 1826, and his wife
died the following Jan. Both are buried in the Lawson Confederate Memorial
Cemetery in Snowflake, Va.

Scots banished to America
During the 17th and 18th centuries history was in the making.. Countries all

History books miss the important factors that brought people to the new
world...We are not Americans, we are Scots, Caledonians, Picts, Irish,
German, Dutch and others came to the new world, either by choice or
force...the latter more true than the former...
The new colonial plantations were a melting pot for many races and kindred..
Upon reaching the new world, they knew not the other's tongue so small
colonies were formed by the people of the same kindred...Many Scots went to
South Carolina. Many to the north as Virginia and Maryland...others were
dispersed to Canada and Australia and Barbados...
The Scots of this story a choice few of 88 convicts of the Battle of
Culloden....The Scots of this story came to America on the ship Gildart,
