Hi everyone,
My quest is for the Allen surname of the southern states in the 19th,
the 18th centuries and before, where did my ancestors come from, for
instance. Jackson County, Alabama was my grandfather's stomping
grounds as a child born to William H and Nancy Adkins Allen, in
1890/91. His name was David "Ollie" Allen. But who were his
grandparents? etc etc etc.
He was my mom's dad, and moved to Arkansas when he was a young man.
Thanks for any help.

Go to your local Library and see if they have remote access to
Heritage Quest. Lots do and you do searchs from home using just your
Library Card number.
